Question 1

What is All-on-X dental implants?

Accepted Answer

All-on-X dental implants are a permanent, full-arch tooth replacement solution that uses four implants to anchor a fixed, non-removable bridge. Unlike dentures, All-on-X implants are not removed for cleaning and are designed to look, feel, and function like natural teeth.

Question 2

Who is a candidate for All-on-X implants?

Accepted Answer

All-on-X implants are an excellent option for patients who have lost most or all of their teeth, or who have been told they lack the bone density for traditional implants. Because the procedure uses angled implants to take advantage of existing jaw bone, most patients qualify without the need for bone grafting.

Question 3

Can All-on-X implants be done without bone grafting?

Accepted Answer

Yes, in most cases. All-on-X is specifically designed to work with reduced bone density by positioning implants where natural bone remains strongest. This eliminates the need for bone grafting procedures for the majority of patients.

Question 4

How long does the All-on-X procedure take?

Accepted Answer

Most patients receive their implants and full-arch bridge in a single appointment. At Otero Cosmetic and Implant Dentistry, the entire process — from implant placement to tooth replacement — is typically completed the same day.

Question 5

How much do All-on-X dental implants cost?

Accepted Answer

All-on-X implants at Otero are priced as a single, all-inclusive fee that covers both the surgical procedure and the implant device, with no surprise costs. Pricing varies based on individual treatment plans and is reviewed during your consultation.

Question 6

Do I need to see multiple specialists for All-on-X implants?

Accepted Answer

Not at Otero. Dr. Otero performs every phase of All-on-X treatment in-house — including consultation, imaging, surgery, and final restoration — at a single location. Patients do not need referrals to oral surgeons, labs, or prosthodontists.

Question 7

How long do All-on-X implants last?

Accepted Answer

All-on-X dental implants are a long-term solution. With proper care and regular dental visits, they are designed to last a lifetime.

Question 8

What happens at an All-on-X consultation at Otero?

Accepted Answer

During your consultation, you will meet with Dr. Otero to discuss your goals and evaluate your candidacy. Most patients receive a digital 3D CAT scan, which allows for precise, personalized treatment planning before any procedures are scheduled.
